Following the acquisition of a 51% stake in the Taiwanese vegetarian brand Yang Shin Restaurant Group in April this year, Kingza announced on July 25th that it has secured the agency rights for “Chicken Sanwa”—a chicken cuisine and Oyakodon brand under Japan’s Sanwa Group—along with its two direct-sale stores in Taiwan. This milestone expands Kingza’s portfolio to 9 brands and approximately 66 direct-sale stores nationwide. By introducing diverse new brands, the company is strategically positioning itself in the Taiwanese dining market to satisfy varying consumer demands. This multi-brand strategy is designed to expand the customer base, enhance member loyalty, and boost repurchase rates. Kingza anticipates that the synergy generated across its brand portfolio will serve as a robust engine for steady revenue growth, and the company remains cautiously optimistic about its medium- to long-term operations.
Established 125 years ago, the century-old Japanese Sanwa Group operates the “Chicken Sanwa” brand, which has successfully launched numerous Oyakodon and chicken cuisine specialty stores across Japan. The brand is highly popular among families, children, and frequent diners. Currently, “Chicken Sanwa” operates two direct-sale stores in Taiwan, located at the Taipei Main Station and Hanshin Arena.
Shota Furukawa, President of Taiwan Tori Sanwa Co., Ltd., stated that the group has been expanding in overseas markets, including Taiwan and Singapore, for many years through both direct-sale and franchise models. Taiwan has always been a highly valued region for the group’s overseas development. By authorizing Kingza to manage the brand’s agency operations and develop the blueprint for future store expansions, the group hopes to extensively promote the “Chicken Sanwa” brand throughout Taiwan and significantly increase its local market share.
