Kingza International, a subsidiary of La Kaffa International, is responsible for expanding Kyochon Chicken in Taiwan. In April this year, the board approved its application for emerging stock market listing. In recent years, in addition to expanding Duan Chun Zhen Beef Noodles into international markets such as Hong Kong and the United States, the company has also been dedicated to introducing overseas brands into the Taiwan market.
“Kyochon is renowned in the Korean fried chicken industry, with high recognition globally. It’s a must-try delicacy for tourists visiting Korea,” said Lin Tzu-Heng, General Manager of Kingza International. He also mentioned that the addition of Kyochon Chicken signifies Kingza International’s expansion into Korean cuisine, complementing its existing Chinese and Japanese offerings, and enhancing its diversified operations.
He stated that choosing Global Mall Banqiao Station for the first outlet was strategic due to the high foot traffic in station malls. “Drawing from experience in Korea, Kyochon Chicken customers primarily prefer takeout and delivery services.” he noted. He anticipates that takeout and delivery will account for up to 70% of this store’s sales. However, the store also includes a dine-in area, targeting customers waiting for trains or making brief stops. With Kyochon Chicken’s strong brand appeal, the first store targets monthly revenue of NT$4.8 million.
Kyochon plans to continue expanding in Taiwan, with the second store expected to open in Q4 this year at Taipei 101 Mall, and a third outlet planned for Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place A11 by year-end.

Chicken’s founder, Kwon Won-kang, attended the opening ceremony of the first store in Taiwan. He observed that Taiwanese tourists rank second globally in visiting Korea annually, indicating a strong interest in Korean travel, cuisine, and entertainment, thus expressing optimism about the Taiwanese market. “Taiwan has always been one of the international markets Kyochon Chicken aims to expand into.”
“We hope that through Kingza International’s management system, strong store expansion capabilities, and rich experience in international brand development, Kyochon will resonate in various locations across Taiwan and secure a place in the hearts of Taiwanese fried chicken lovers,” Kwon Won-kang expressed.
